The Susquehanna Council of central Pennsylvania is hosting a two (2) week long expedition to
Peru
for registered Boy Scouts and Venturers (males and females) aged 16 through 20. This
trip will include everything from backpacking on the Inca Trail, to mountain biking, to paddling in
dugout canoes on the Amazon. All participants in this course will participate
in the Venturing Kodiak National Leadership Course. Boy Scout training is
considered some of the world’s best by corporate America as well as most colleges
and the military. This particular course will not only be filled with
adventure, but also will offer the participant a rare cultural experience.
Total course cost is $3000. We suggest
that participants take the Venturing Leadership Skills Course (VLSC) prior to
the expedition, but this is not required.
If you have questions or are in
need of financial assistance PLEASE contact us, we want anyone who would like
to participate to go and we'll help everyone get there. There will be limited
financial assistance. We are looking for sponsors. Keep in mind this is a
Scouting venture and thus all fundraising must comply with your council's
policies. We suggest seeking sponsorships and performing fundraising before applying
for our financial aid.
Welcome,
Steve Sassaman
